Three reasons Liverpool should keep Lazar Markovic

Experience

Markovic is just 21 but has played in some of Europe’s most passionately supported clubs. The Serbian international started off at Partizan before joining Portuguese giants Benfica followed by Liverpool and finally Fenerbahce. All four clubs are among the biggest in their respective countries and have tens of millions of fans between them. The pressure of playing for Fenerbahce is immense. Every move, every action and every comment is scrutinised and debated for hours. Markovic who is now being played in his strongest position has settled in remarkably well to life in Turkey and has already become a fan favourite. The 21-year-old winger has two goals and three assists in 19 appearances for the Yellow Canaries this season – not exactly prolific but better than last season.
