Liverpool already have two players born in Germany of Turkish heritage within their ranks in Emre Can and Samed Yeşil. The Merseyside club signed Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen who has gone on to be a massive hit. Kolo Toure went as far to say he could go on to become the “king of Anfield.”
The Reds have a strong connection with Bayer, both Yeşil and Can both arrived from the Bundesliga outfit and the pair would ensure Çalhanoğlu settles into life in Liverpool quickly.
