Tottenham aim to sign Turkish international ahead of next season

Tottenham are looking to secure the services of Yunus Malli before the start of the new season according to the Daily Mail newspaper.

The report states that Spur’s are looking to conclude the deal well before the end of the season.

The Mail go onto say that Tottenham are eyeing Turkey’s international friendly with England in May as an opportunity to finalise the transfer.

Spurs have been keeping close tabs on the Turkish international, sending scouts to a number of Mainz games this season.

The Bundesliga club value their star midfielder at £10 million. Malli was born in Germany and represented his country of birth at U21 level before switching allegiances to  the country of his family – Turkey.

The 23-year-old featured Turkey’s 2-1 victory over Sweden last week and has now returned to Germany ahead of Mainz match against Augsburg on the weekend.
Malli averages a goal every 243 minutes and has hit the back of the net 10 times while providing four assists in 29 appearances this season.
