Tottenham join Turkish League champions in race to sign Chelsea striker

Tottenham have joined Galatasaray in the race to sign Chelsea’s out of favour striker Loic Remy.

The Mirror have reported that the north London based side want to sign Remy on loan to provide backup to Harry Kane.

The Turkish sports paper AMK report that Galatasaray are also interested in the France international and have sent their general secretary Faith Isbecer to London in order to discuss the possibility of signing the striker.

The report goes onto state that the Stamford Bridge heavyweights are looking for a €12 million fee to secure the international’s signature.

Galatasaray have been on the hunt for a new striker since the summer transfer window and have previously been linked with Lokomotiv Moscow’s Oumar Niasse and Newcastle’s Papis Cisse.

The Lion’s first choice striker Burak Yilmaz has seven goals while his alternative Umut Bulut has only managed two goals in 16 games. Yilmaz has recently suffered a reoccurrence of a hamstring injury keeping him out until the end of January.
