Tottenham offer €10 million for Emmanuel Emenike

Tottenham have offered Fenerbahce €10 million for Fenerbahçe str’ker Emmanuel Emenike according to reports in the British media.

Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be keen on bringing in a new striker this January.

Tottenham are reported to have submitted a €10 million bid following the recommendation of Head of Recruitment and Analysis Paul Mitchell.

Spurs bid for the Nigeria international was rejected immediately by Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım.

“Emenike offer came, they gave 10 million Euros. However, I trust him. I therefore rejected the offer,” Yıldırım said.

Spurs are reported to be considering an increased offer for the 27-year-old striker.

The Fenerbahçe striker has been linked with a move to England and Qatar over recent weeks.

Emenike has scored 13 goals in 41 appearances for his current side since joining for €13M in the summer of 2013 from Russian side Spartak Moscow.

The Nigerian international was joint top scorer at the 2013 African Cup of Nations and also had and impressive World Cup and helped Nigeria reach the Round of 16.
