Tottenham’s star playmaker Cristian Eriksen has outperformed Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil in the last five Premier League games according to the Independent.
The daily newspaper provided stats which show that Eriksen has scored three goals to Ozil’s one, taken 17 shots to Ozil’s four and has created eight more chances than the Germany international.
Eriksen has also made more successful passes and tackles than the Arsenal playmaker.
Tottenham currently sit level on points with rivals Arsenal with 51 points in 26 games.
Ozil played a key role in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Sunday. The Germany international provided his 17th Premier League assist in the process – the highest figure in the league.
Arsenal moved two points within leaders Leicester City following their victory over the Foxes.
The North London based side take on Hull City in the FA Cup this weekend then host Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League next week.
