Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor denies talk of move to Turkey

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has denied reports claiming that he is looking for a move to Turkey.

The Togolese international went on to state that he has no knowledge of the agent Mehdi Isik who is claiming to represent him.

Turkish sports site Sporx claimed that Işık is now representing Adebayor and that he confirmed the Togo international is open to a move to Turkey.

“He wants a change in his career and was impressed with the way Drogba settled in at Galatasaray and adapted to the league,” Işık told Sporx.

“He would play in Turkey.”

However, Adebayor took to Twitter to deny all the claims made by Sporx.

Adebayor has been linked with a number of Turkish clubs in the past. Bursaspor are the latest club reported to be interested in the former Arsenal man according to Fanatik.

Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have also all been linked with the experienced striker.

Adebayor has scored just two goals in 17 appearances this season under Mauricio Pochettino.

The 31-year-old striker has previously played for Monaco, Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
