Tottenham striker who has failed to score in 7 games will miss Istanbul derby for loan side

Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen has enjoyed a mixed response since joining Turkish giants Fenerbahce on loan.

Janssen has failed to score in his last seven games for the Yellow Canaries.

The last time the Dutch forward scored was in the 2-1 victory over Besiktas in the Istanbul derby.

Janssen has however, provided an assist in each of his last two games.

In total the 23-year-old has two goals and three assists this season.

The striker will however, be ruled out of the Istanbul derby clash against Kasimpasa on the weekend.

Janssen will miss the game with suspension and former Tottenham ace Roberto Soldado has also been ruled out with injury.

Former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is expected to get his first start of the season as a result.

Janssen has managed to keep Soldado and Van Persie out of the starting lineup this season.

Fenerbahce are currently third in the Super Lig, six points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
