Tottenham striker turned down £25m West Brom bid to end up joining Super Lig giants

Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen ended up joining Super Lig giants on a one-year loan after turning down offers from the Premier League according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish sports agency Sporx claim that Tottenham accepted a £25 million bid from West Brom for the Dutch striker.

Per the source, Janssen turned down the deal and later decided to join Fenerbahce on a temporary move.

The report also states that the Yellow Canaries were told to offer £35 million after their initial approach for Janssen at the start of the transfer window.

The 24-year-old striker made his Fenerbahce debut last week, coming on as a second half substitute in the 3-2 defeat against Basaksehir – their first ever home defeat to the Istanbul minnows.

The Netherlands international joined Spurs for £17 million last summer from AZ Alkmaar however, the 23-year-old fell out of favour with manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Janssen scored six goals and provided four assists in 39 appearances for the North London outfit in all competitions last season.
