Tottenham head into their Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen at the Bay Arena without star striker Harry Kane and Belgium international defender Toby Alderweireld.

England international Eric Dier will fill in for the injured defender and join Vertonghen in defence. Meanwhile Trippier and Rose have got to nod as full-backs. In goal there are no surprises as Lloris will start.

In midfielder Wanyama will be deployed in-front of the defenders deployed with sweeping up while Alli, Erikson, Son and Lamela will provide the Premier League outfit with midfield stability and creativity.

In other Tottenham team news Janssen will have to fill the boots of Kane but he has not been in the best of form having found the back of the net just once in 11 outings.

Despite his poor scoring record Spurs have scored in their last 21 fixtures however, Leverkusen are unbeaten at home in their last 10 games and will have a wealth of attacking talent including Tottenham’s summer transfer target Hakan Calhanoglu – who starts.
