Tottenham transfer news: £9m Portuguese ace accused of being focused on Spurs over his own club

Portugal U21 international Bruma was controversially withdrawn during the Galatasaray v Fenerbahce derby on Sunday.

The decision by Igor Tudor was met with jeers from Galatasaray fans who chanted Bruma’s name.

Bruma was not having his best game in a Galatasaray jersey and was accused of opting to shoot over passing to a better option.

Turkish outlet Vatan have revealed the reason behind the youngster’s poor performance.

Per the source, Bruma was distracted by the news that Tottenham scouts were monitoring his performance. The report goes onto state that he tried too hard to impress onlookers.

Turkish-Football recently reported that both Man United and Tottenham scouts were present during the intercontinental derby.

Meanwhile The Sun has also linked Spurs with a £9 million move for the former Sporting man.

Bruma’s Galatasaray future remains in question after delaying contract talks. The 22-year-old has just 14 months remaining on his current deal.

The Portuguese ace has eight goals and eight assists to his name after 30 apperances for the Lions this season.
