Tottenham transfer news: Daniel Levy calls in former keeper to sign Portuguese star

Bruma

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has called in Brad Friedel to help with Spurs’ pursuit of Galatasaray’s star winger Bruma.

The Turkish outlet Fotomac states that Friedel – who previously played for both Galatasaray and Tottenham – will be present during negotiations in a bid to convince Bruma to make the move to London.

Friedel spent one season at Galatasaray in the mid-90s and four years at Tottenham during his playing career. The former USA international currently works as  coach for the United States under-19 team.

Galatasaray star Bruma has been linked with a move to Tottenham over the first half of the season.

A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that Spurs have been among several clubs keeping close tabs on the Portuguese winger.

Per the source, Galatasaray are worried about the current situation as Bruma has just over one-season remaining on his contract and has yet to sign an extension.

Galatasaray have now set a €20 million valuation for Bruma and will not accept anything less over the winter transfer window.
