Turkish intentional full-back Caner Erkin is also available and has been selected in the 21-man squad but will start on the bench in tonight’s historic match up.

Spurs will be without Jan Vertonghen and summer signing Victor Wanyana however, Toby Alderweireld, Delle Alle and captain Harry Kane all start.

Tottenham will have first-choice keeper Hugo Lloris available on the bench.

Inter will have Ivan Perisic, Ever Banega, Jeison Murillo and Marcelo Brozovic after they missed the US tour.

Recent games between Inter and Spurs have been lively affairs including a 4-4 draw on aggregate in the 2012-13 Europa League round of 16 which saw Tottenham progress. Then there was the famous Champions League 2010-11 clash which saw Inter win 4-3 despite a Gareth Bate hat-trick. Spurs then went onto beat the Italian giants 3-1 in the return leg.
