Trabzonspor close to agreeing terms with St Etienne over Erdinc

Trabzonspor are close to agreeing terms with St Etienne over the transfer of Mevlüt Erdinç according to the Sabah newspaper.

The report claims Trabzonspor have agreed everything except a transfer fee with the Ligue 1 outfit over the transfer of their Turkish international.

Ersun Yanal is reported to have personally scouted the experienced striker during the recent one week suspension of the Süper Lig.

The 27-year-old represented France at youth level but later switched allegiances to Turkey.

The powerful striker has eight goals in 32 international games for the Crescent-Stars.

Erdinç has scored eight goals and one assist in 33 appearances for Saint-Etienne this season in all competitions.

The experienced forward joined St. Etienne on a £4 million move from Rennes in the summer of 2013.

Erdinç has previously played for PSG, Rennes and Sochaux. The Turkish international has never played for a team outside of France at club level.
