Transfer boost for Arsenal as Barcelona prepare to sell £25m target
Arsenal has received a boost in their quest to sign Turkey international Arda Turan this summer.
According to the Spanish outlet Sport, the flamboyant midfielder could be on his way out of Barcelona at the end of the season.
Per the source, the Catalan giants are planning a summer clear out following a disappointing season.
Premier League giants Arsenal have recently been linked with a move for Turan. The Times reported that the Gunners are planning a £25m offer for the Turkey international.
Luis Enrique’s side are effectively out of the title race and are on the brink of a Champions League exit. Barcelona suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus on Tuesday, meaning they need yet another miracle in order to qualify.
Turan is unavailable for selection this weekend as he recovers from an injury. The 30-year-old suffered an injury while on international duty with Turkey and has not featured since.
