The Turkish Cup semi-final draw will see Fenerbahce take on Konyaspor and Galatasaray face Rizespor.

Fenerbahce knocked Amed Sportif out of the quater-final stages after winning 3-1 at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium to go through 5-3 on aggregate.

Mehmet Topuz, Nani and Fernandao all got on the scoresheet for the Yellow Canaries. The Istanbul giants are still competing strongly in three competitions – league, Europa League and Turkish Cup.

Fenerbahce are first in the Super League and will take on Braga in the Europa League Last 16.

Galatasaray beat drew 1-1 with Akhisar to go through 3-2 on aggregate. The Turkish Cup triumph will come as a relief after a nightmarish few weeks that saw the Lions kicked out of the Europa League drop to 5th in the league and get banned from European competitions for one-season due to breaking Financial Fair Play regulations.

Besiktas’ week went from worse to worse after losing the Istanbul derby to Fenerbahce on the weekend they bowed out of the Turkish Cup against Konyaspor following a 1-0 defeat at home yesterday.

The Black Eagles are currently competing in just one competition – the league – after being knocked out of both the Europa League and the Turkish Cup.

Konyaspor manager Aykut Kocaman is no stranger to Fenerbahce having played for the Canaries and he also guided his former side to the 2010-11 league title.

The Turkish semi-final draw is as follows:

Galatasaray v Rizespor

Fenerbahce v Konyaspor
