Turkish giants willing to accept €20m for Man Utd target

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Besiktas playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Besiktas are willing to accept €20 million for star midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup according to Turkish Super Lig broadcaster Lig Tv.

Per the source, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen on signing the Turkish intentional midfielder.

Mourinho is reported to have been impressed with the scouting report and could be tempted into making a move for the former Arsenal midfielder.

Besiktas want to keep hold of the 23-year-old but would consider a move that matches their valuation.

The Black Eagles have already turned down offers from West Ham and Lazio for Ozyakup but club president Fikret Orman did reveal that if the Turkish international was to leave the club it would only be for a club with the stature of United.

“Ozyakup will not leave for a mid-table side like Lazio. He is a top level player who won the league title last season and will play Champions league football,” Orman stated in a press conference in June.

Ozyakup has experience playing in England as he was an Arsenal youth before making his move to Besiktas in 2012 in pursuit of first-team football.

The 23-year-old scored 10 times and setup eight goals for the Super Lig champions in all competitions last season.
