Turkish giants close in on Manchester City flop Wilfried Bony who managed just two goals last season

Fenerbahce are awaiting a response from Manchester City regarding their bid for the experinced striker Wilfried Bony.

According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Yellow Canaries have tabled a loan offer for the 28-year-old striker.

The report states that Fenerbahce want to sign the striker before their Europa League qualification clash at the end of the month.

Per the source, Fenerbahce have already struck a £3 million deal with the Ivory Coast international. The Istanbul Giants have also set aside a £1 million loan fee for Bony.

Fenerbahce are keen to bolster their attacking option’s this summer following a disappointing third placed finish in the Turkish Super League.

Bony is expected to leave Manchester City this summer after failing to break into Pep Guardiola’s first team squad.

The former Swansea City man spent a disappointing 12 months at Stoke City last season. Bony managed to score just two Premier League goals in ten apperances for the Potters.

Bony made the move to Man City for a lofty £28 million back in January 2015 (BBC).
