Turkish giants want €3m option for Arsenal full-back

Arsenal are reported to have accepted Galatasaray’s loan bid for full-back Mathieu Debuchy but the Lions have now requested a €3 million buyout clause option according to the Fanatik sports newspaper.

Per the source, Arsenal have given Galatasaray the green light for a temporary move and the Lions are close to agreeing personal terms with the full-back.

Debuchy does have another three-years remaining on his current so it remains to be seen whether the Gunners would accept a low buyout clause option.

A source close to Galatasaray told Turkish-football.com that head coach Jan Rierkerink has urged the board to strengthen the full-back position after a string of poor performances from his current defensive unit over the pre-season.

The Istanbul giants conceded five goals against Manchester United last Saturday and the Dutch head coach is unhappy with Sabri and Linnes.

Galatasaray could, face competition from Bordeaux who loaned the 31-year-old over the second half of last season according to Sky Sports.
