Meanwhile, the Sun state that both Ligue 1 giants PSG and Newcastle United are also interested in signing Mangala this summer.

Per the source, PSG are unwilling to spend big on the France international while Newcastle are in favour of a loan deal.

Besiktas have already signed Portugal international Pepe from Real Madrid this summer. The Black Eagles have won back-to-back Turkish Super League titles and are now looking to compete in the UEFA Champions League.

Mangala was sent out on loan to Valencia following the appointment of Pep Guardiola as manger.

The 26-year-old made the move to Manchester City for £32 million from FC Porto in 2014. Mangala made 33 apperances for Valencia last season.
