Turkish giants in talks with Chelsea over star striker

Besiktas have set their sights on Chelsea’s out-of-favour striker Loic Remy. The Black Eagles are on the look-out for attacking options incase they are unable to sign Mario Gomez on a permanent deal this summer.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Besiktas have been in contact with Remy’s agent and are preparing to table a bid for the France international. The report goes onto state that the Istanbul based club are also keeping tabs on Monaco’s Lacina Traore.

Besiktas previously signed Demba Ba from Chelsea back in 2014 and have also been linked with the Blue’s midfielder Obi Mikel.

Remy, who joined Chelsea in a £10.5m move from QPR last year, has struggled with injuries and a lack of form in recent months.

The 29-year-old provided one assist and scored three goals in 20 appearances for Chelsea this season. The former Marseille man has two years remaining on his contract with Chelsea.

The experinced striker was not included in France’s squad which will compete at Euro 2016 this summer.
