Twitter hammers Man United boss Jose Mourinho following defeat

Manchester United suffered yet another slip up this season this evening after losing 2-1 to Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

The Portuguese tactician selected a stronger than expected starting line-up for tonights game with David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford all starting.

However, United put in yet another lacklustre performance and were fortunate not to lose by a greater scoreline.

To make matters worse, record summer signing Paul Pogba was forced off with an injury. The result comes off the back of disappointing results against the likes of Chelsea and Burnley.

Mourinho was the talk of the town on social media and has been heavily criticised for his decisions, here a selection of those tweets.

Fans were hotly on Mourinho’s case following Sow’s goal after just two minutes and things only got worse when the former Sunderland man Jeremain Lens scored a perfectly struck free-kick to put the Yellow Canaries 2-0 up.

Manchester United travel to Wales this weekend to take on a struggling Swansea City in the Premier League. Meanwhile Fenerbahce take on Akhisar Belediyespor in the Turkish Super Lig.
