The statement read: “Umut Gündoğan has joined Adana Demirspor on loan until the end of the season for a €150,000 fee.”

Adana Demirspor are currently second in the PTT.1 Lig and face a tricky test away to Denizlispor on the weekend.

The Adana based club also recently signed Hakan Çinemre, Erman Taşkın and Artun Akçakın.

Galatasaray had 32 players in the squad going into the winter break, head coach Hamza Hamzoğlu plans to reduce this number to 26.

Gundoğan joins Furkan Özçal, Veysel Sarı and Dany, becoming the fourth player to depart from Galatasaray over the winter transfer window.

Özçal joined Karabükspor, Sarı joined Kasımpaşa and Dany moved to Evian. All three transfers were loan deals.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined Galatasaray from Bucasspor for €600,000 in January 2014.

Gündoğan has made seven appearances for Galatasaray since joining at the beginning of the year.
