Former Trabzonspor manager Vahid Halilhodzic is on the verge of taking over the Bosnian national team according to bhdragons.com.

BHDragons tweeted, “According to Fokus magazine, Vahid Halilhodzic has apparently agreed to become BiH’s next manager. His salary will match Susic’s.”

Trabzonspor fired the former Algerian national team coach following a slow start to the league and for comments he made about his squad to the media.

Halilhodzic’s second spell at Trabzonspor lasted a total of 116 days. The experienced coach won four, drew eight and lost two of the 14 games he managed.

The Bosnian coach has been replaced by former Turkish national team manager Ersun Yanal.

Yanal won the league last season as manager of Fenerbahçe and has got off to a great start as manager of the Black Sea Storm.

Trabzonspor beat Galatasaray 3-0 away – the first time the Black Sea storm have won in Istanbul in 991 days.

Yanal also guided Trabzonspor into the Europa League Round of 32 following a 3-1 win against Metalist.
