Van Persie reveals his best Man Utd goal

Fenerbahçe striker Robin van Persie has revealed that the favourite goal he ever scored for Manchester United was against Aston Villa in the 2012-13 season.

Speaking to Halil Demirkol on Fenerbahçe Tv Van Persie underlined that his volley against Aston Villa in the title deciding 3-0 victory was his all time best goal for United.

Van Persie wore the number 20 shirt when he scored the goal that secure United’s record 20th Premier League title in 2013.

“This is my all time top five; The flying header against Spain, the two volleys for Manchester United to win the league, when playing for Arsenal the goal against Everton and finally my goal against Manchester City for United in the derby,” Van Persie said.

The 31-year-old striker also stated that his goal against Manchester City in the derby was also in his top five all time goals for the Red Devils.

Van Persie joined United on a £24 million transfer from Arsenal in 2012 and scored a total of 58 goals in 105 matches for the Premier League giants.

The Dutch striker joined Fenerbahçe on a three-year deal over the summer transfer window and made his debut against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League play-off first-leg game.
