Fenerbahçe striker Robin van Persie has revealed that he wants to score his first goal at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium in the Yellow Canaries opening Europa League group game against Molde.

“My first goal is to score in-front of the fans at home and repay the love they have shown me and that hasn’t happened yet but I will score against Molde,” Van Persie was quoted as saying by Eurosport TR.

Van Persie even has his goal celebration ready if he scores on Thursday against the Swedish side.

“When I score I will celebrate by running over to the 12th man and dedicate to goal to them,” he added.

Van Persie scored his first goal for the Istanbul giants since leaving Manchester United over the summer transfer window in Greece against Atromitos in the Europa League play-off round.

The Netherlands international has also scored in the Turkish Super League with former United teammate Luis Nani providing him an assist for the first time in 598 days.

The 32-year-old striker is expected to start for the Yellow Canaries against Molde on Thursday as is Nani.

The Canaries are currently joint first in the league on 10 points alongside Trabzonspor.
