Reigning Super Lig champions Besiktas got their defence of the Super Lig title off to a great start with a 4-1 victory over newly promoted Alanyaspor.

Oguzhan Ozyakup kicked off the scoring with an outrageous goal that saw him find a way through the entire Alanyaspor back-line before dribbling the ball around the keeper into an empty net.

Ozyakup played a key role in the Black Eagles winning the league title last season scoring 10 times and providing eight assists in all competitions.

Olcan Adin scored the second goal of the game followed by a brace from Cenk Tosun.

Ozyakup orchestrated the midfield and was behind most of the attacking moves pulling of an impressive 78 passes with an 82 percent accuracy. The Turkish international had more touches on the ball than any other player (94) and dribbled past more opposition players than all his teammates (3).

Manchester United are reported to be keeping close tabs on Ozyakup according to the Daily Star and ready to offer £20 million for the rising star.

Per the source, the Red Devils have been scouting the midfielder over the past 12 months.

Ozyakup is however, expected to stay at the Istanbul giants for another season before being allowed to leave.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman wanted Ozyakup to stay on for another season but did long ago state that if his star man were were to leave he would not mind it being to United.

“When Ozyakup leaves Besiktas it will be for Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid. A club of that calibre,” Orman was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.com.
