Turkey beat Austria 2-1 at the Ernst Happel stadium to extend their unbeaten run to 13 games – just three short of equaling the Crescent-Stars all time record.
Barcelona star Arda Turan scored the winning goal in the second half to win Turkey’s second consecutive game.
The bearded winger has now contributed to eight goals in his last 10 international games – four assists and four goals.
The victory was the Turkish national sides 200th in the nations history of international football. The Crescent-Stars also beat Sweden in their last games 2-1 with Turan in the starting line-up.
Turkey take on England next at the Etihad stadium in Manchester.
