Besiktas beat Osmanlispor 3-1 at the Vodafone Arena to win the Turkish Super League title today.

The Black Eagles took the lead when Marcelo opened the scoring and the defender went onto bag a brace before the end of the first half.

Mario Gomez wrapped up all three points soon after the start of the second half finishing off a lovely attacking move started by Ricardo Quaresma.

Gomez scored his 28th goal of season in the process breaking the record for finding the back of the net previously set at 27 by Demba Ba.

The Germany international managed to work his way back into the Germany national team after a brilliant season and has attracted the interest of Manchester United.

United have expressed an interest in the striker according to Telegraph and FoxSport last month.
