Arsenal beat Leicester City 2-1 at the Emirates with a last-gasp winner from Danny Welbeck in the fourth minute of additional time.

Jamie Vardy game the Foxes the lead in the first-half but Arsenal got back into the game after the break following Danny Simpson being sent off.

Theo Walcott equalised soon after but the game looked destined for a draw until a fabulous set-piece delivery from Mesut Ozil in additional time found the head of Welbeck who found the back of the net for a dramatic finale.

Ozil provided his 17th Premier League assist in the process – the highest figure in the league. The 27-year-old could have had a few more assists had his teammates not been as profligate infant of goal considering he created six chances.

The World Cup winner made a total of 71 passes at a 90 percent accuracy over the course of the 90 minutes.

Arsenal moved two points within leaders Leicester City following their victory over the Foxes.
