Manchester City summer signing Ilkay Gundogan was given an unusual surprise on his birthday today. Football clubs usually send out a birthday tweet on social media but the Citizens decided to go the extra mile in celebrating Gundogan’s big day.
City invited a young fan called Braydon Brent to present Gundogan with a birthday cake and give him a few words of encouragement on his 26th birthday.
Brent told Gundogan that he will definitely score against West Brom in the Premier League over the weekend but the Germany international of Turkish origin had his mind elsewhere.
Gundogan asked Brent if it would be better for him to score against rivals Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Wednesday. The young fan replied by claiming anyone can scored against the Red Devils these days – which probably will not go down well with the red half of Manchester.
