Watch: Arsenal ace pays respects to hero at Hollywood Walk of Fame he describes as being ‘simply the greatest’
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has made no secret of the fact that Muhammad Ali was one of his sporting heroes.
Ozil paid his respects to Ali after visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The playmaker of Turkish origin filmed a short video in from of Ali’s star alongside the caption: “Simply the greatest. He remembers us to fight for the right. #walkoffame #muhammadali #star”

Ali was named the world heavyweight champion by the World Boxing Association three different times, in 1964, 1974, and 1978.
The boxing legend was also an Olympic gold medalist and widely respected throughout the sporting and non sporting world as a cultural icon.
Ozil is currently on holiday in the US but will join Arsenal for pre-season training in Australia.
