Watch: Emre Can delivers special message for architect behind Liverpool Goal of the Season
Emre Can picked up the Goal of the Season award in the Liverpool Players’ Ceremony which was held mid-week.
Can was gracious in his acceptance speech and did not forget the architect behind his goal.
The Germany international of Turkish origin gave Lucas Leiva a special mention for his assist which setup the overhead kick goal.
Can said: “It’s the best goal I’ve ever scored. Thank you to Lucas for the great ball!”

Can has a total of five goals and three assists for the Reds this season. The 23-year-old will have 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season but has yet to sign a new deal.
