Besiktas suffered a shock 2-0 defeat against Goztepe at the Izmir Bornovo Stadium in the Super Lig on Sunday.

The Black Eagles did have the chance to go ahead when they were awarded a penalty in the first half but Oguzhan Ozyakup squandered his chance.

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius started in goal despite rumors that he would be dropped.

Karius conceded twice but he was let down by a defensive backline that went AWOL on the night and had it not been for a few important saves the scoreline could have done worse.

We have taken a look at the goals the 25-year-old conceded on the night.

You could argue that Karius perhaps should have done better dealing with the cross but there is not a lot he could do about the shambolic defending.

One argument that has been made against the keeper this season is struggling to deal with crosses.

The second goal also came from a cross but yet again the defending was pretty abysmal.
