Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed that he could give youngsters Chuba Akpom and Gedion Zelalem a chance against Galatasaray.

The Gunners take on Galatasaray in the Champions League Group D in Istanbul on Tuesday.

“We are professional people, responsible and what is important is the next game,” Wenger said.

“We have to respond in a strong way and win the game – that’s part of our job.

“Some are closer [to the first team], like Chuba Akpom who you know already.

“You have Gedion Zelalem who you will certainly already know.

“We have maybe two other players who are now making big strides forward – Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is very good, and Stefan O’Connor, the centre back, who looks very promising in training.”

First team forwards Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck have been left in London.

Arsenal can still clinch first spot in Group D with a win against Galatasaray if Borussia Dortmund lost against Anderlecht.
