Wesley Sneijder scores double golazo [divider]
Galatasaray crushed Konyaspor 4-1 at the Torku Konya Arena to progress to the Turkish Cup quarter-finals.
Burak Yılmaz hit the back of the net on his return from injury but the main talking point was Wesley Sneijder scoring two spectacular goals.
Sneijder scored the Lions second goal of the evening on 16 minutes. The Netherlands international curled the ball around the keeper from outside the area.
The 30-year-old scored an equally impressive goal on 34 minutes. Sneijder beat his man inside the opposition penalty area and then lobbed the keeper for his brace.
Sneijder now has seven goals and and four assists in 28 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions this season.
The experienced playmaker has a total of 28 goals and 14 assists in 86 games for the Lions since joining from Inter Milan in January 2013.
Sneijder has won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and Turkish Süper Cup since his arrival in Turkey.
Galatasaray will be joined by rivals Fenerbahçe as well as Bursaspor, Sivasspor, Gençlerbirliği, Mersin, Manisaspor and Kayserispor in the Turkish Cup quarter-finals.
