West Ham boss reveals he is targeting several Besiktas players

Slaven Bilic

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that he is targeting several Beşiktaş players in a recent interview with Socrates magazine.

Bilic said: “Beşiktaş is a huge club with a strong squad and quite a few of the players are good enough to play at West ham and I am interested in the.”

The Hammers boss knows Beşiktaş inside out having coached the Black Eagles for two seasons over the past two years.

The former Croatian national team manager guided the Istanbul giants to the Europa league quarter-finals and a third-placed finish in the league.

Bilic also stated that he made an offer for in-form winger Gökhan Töre over the summer transfer window.

“Gökhan is a legend he is a top guy and a great player of course I would love to have him in the team,” Bilic said.

“I tried to sign him at the start of the season but it was not the right time.”

Töre has been in great form providing five assists – highest in the league – and scoring once in seven league games.

West Ham have also been linked with Beşiktaş midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup over recent weeks.
