West Ham boss Slaven Bilic hopes Besiktas win Turkish league

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that he hopes Beşiktaş win the Turkish Super League this season.

Bilic coached the Black Eagles for two-seasons before taking over at West Ham this summer.

“Beşiktaş will always be in my heart and I wish them all the best in the title race,” Bilic told Fanatik.

“I hope they win the league this season.”

Beşiktaş beat Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe 3-2 at the Atatürk Olympic stadium on the weekend to move into first place on goal difference.

The victory was the Black Eagles first derby victory since 3 March 2013 when they coincidently also beat Fenerbahçe 3-2.

Bilic guided the Istanbul giants to the Europa League quarter-finals beating Tottenham and Liverpool along the way.

Beşiktaş finished the league in third place finish last season and booked a place in the Europa League group stages.

Bilic has got off to a great start at West Ham maintaining a 100 percent win record beating giants Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool on the road.

West Ham are currently third in the Premier League and take on Sunderland next at the Stadium of Light.
