West Ham linked with Galatasaray target Douglas

West Ham have rekindled interest in Dynamo Moscow defender Douglas according to Talksport.

The report states that the Hammers have had a long term interest in the Brazilian defender but could face competition from Turkish champions Galatasaray.

Reports in Turkey have also linked fellow Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor with a move for the powerful defender.

The 27-year-old defender joined the Russian giants from Netherlands side Twente in 2013 and still has another year left on his current contract.

The Brazilian born defender also has Netherlands nationality but has yet to represent any country at international level.

Douglas has a total of three goals and one assist in 54 appearances for Dynamo Moscow in all competitions since joining the Russian club.

The 1.93m tall defender made 33 appearances last season scoring three goals and picking up eight yellow cards in all competitions.

Galatasaray won the league title last season for a record 20th time and booked a place in the Champions League for the fourth consecutive season.
