The latest Besiktas star to be linked with West Ham is midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Fanatik report that Slaven Bilic is planning to bring his former players along with him to West Ham this summer.

The Hammers are already in advanced talks over Gokhan Tore and could make a bid for Ozyakup.

Besiktas are prepared to sell Tore after signing Aras Ozbiliz as his replacement in January but are reluctant to part ways with Ozyakup.

The former Arsenal youngster established himself as a key member of the Besiktas team last season helping guide his side to the league title with his 10 goals and eight assists.

Bilic described the Turkish international as being in his opinion the best player in the country during his time in charge of the club.

“In my opinion Oğuzhan Özyakup is the most talented and best player in Turkey. He is a young Mesut Özil look at his physique it is almost the same,” Bilic told Fanatik.

Ozyakup has been linked with numerous clubs across Europe but club president Fikret Orman only sees the midfielder joining a top club such as Chelsea.

Orman said speaking on TRT: “Last season, Lazio made an approach for Oguzhan,” Orman began, “but I didn’t want him to go there.

“Lazio are an average side in Italy,” he continued. “Besiktas are bigger than them.

“If Oguzhan goes to Europe, it should be to a team of the calibre of Chelsea.”
