West Ham target Tore will be staying at Besiktas over winter says agent

Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre will be staying in Istanbul over the winter transfer window according to his agent Ahmet Bulut.

The agent – who also represents Arda Turan – revealed that Töre is likely to stay with the Black Eagles but confirmed that he did offer Atletico Madrid the chance to sign the explosive winger over the summer.

“I worked hard to bring Gökhan to Beşiktaş and he is really happy at the club I did offer him to Atletico Madrid over the summer but it did not work out I do not see him leaving over the winter,” Töre was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

Töre has also been closely linked with West Ham and head coach Slaven Bilic recently stated that he tried to sign the Turkish international at the start of the season.

“I have always said that Gökhan Töre could play at any European team he has both the quality and the potential,” Bilic said.

“After agreeing terms with West Ham I told the board that I want him and I strongly believe he would add a lot to the team and be a success in England.”

Bilic is credited with getting Töre’s career back on track during his two-year stint at Beşiktaş. The 23-year-old winger has experience being at a Premier League club having risen through the ranks of Chelsea as a youth player.

Töre has hit the ground running this season and already has two goals and five assist in all competitions for the Istanbul giants this season. The former Blues youngster has another four-years left on his current deal with the Istanbul giants.
