‘I will stay for another season’ – Bundesliga star defender linked with Man United & Man City confirms he will remain at club next season
Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has been closely linked with a summer exit after an impressive breakthrough season.
The 20-year-old joined Freiburg from Turkish second-tier outfit Altinordu last summer and went onto become a first team regular in the Bundesliga.
Manchester United and Manchester City are reported to be interested in Soyuncu according to Turkish-Football.
Additionally FourFourTwo magazine also claim that both Manchester based side have expressed an interest.

Soyuncu has however, distanced himself from a summer exit and underlined that the will remain at the club for another season.
“I held another meeting with the club and it was decided that I will stay for another season,” Soyuncu was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“We first discussed this a few months ago and I agree that it would be in the best interests of the club and my development to stay here.
“I can’t wait for the next season now.”
Soyuncu has made the official Bundesliga shortlist for ‘Rookie of the Season‘. The award goes to the best under-21 player of the season and is decided by a fans vote.
The voting will end on Tuesday.
Soyuncu still has another four-years remaining on his contract and provided one assists in 25 appearances for Freiburg in all competitions.
Despite being just 20-years-old, Soyuncu has established himself as a regular call up to the Turkish national team.
