‘I won’t tell you if there is an offer’ – Agent remains coy about Liverpool defensive target’s future, Inter join race

Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer’s Mikkel Beck agent has opened up about transfer rumours linking his client with a summer exit.

The latest club to be linked with the Danish international if Inter Milan.

Beck revealed that he does not know if Inter want Kjaer or not but confirmed that recently appointed Director of football Walter Sabatini is an admirer of the defender.

Sabatini was previously Director of football at Kjaer’s previous clubs Palermo and Roma.

“I do not know whether the Nerazzurri are interested or not, but Sabatini knows him very well, he was at Palermo when Simon was playing in Sicily, and from Rome when he was wearing his yellow shirt, but at the moment I did not contact Walter,” Beck told FC Inter News.

Kjaer has been linked with several clubs this season including Liverpool but Beck remained coy on whether offers have been made.

The agent underlined that Kjaer has another two-years remaining on his contract and that any interested parties must contact Fenerbahce.

“Kjær has a contract with Fenerbahçe for another two years, and if anyone wants to do so, they must talk to the Turkish club,” he added.

“I won’t tell you if there if an offer for him, but I can only add that there is a lot of interest and that is normal for a player of his calibre.”

The 28-year-old centre-back is a Liverpool target according to Turkish newspaper  Hurriyet.

Per the source, Liverpool have set aside £10 million for the powerful defender.

The report claims that Kjaer is keen on a move to the Premier League or the Serie A.

The Reds have actually been linked with the defender since 2015.

Prior to joining Liverpool, Kjaer was quoted by French newspaper Le Figaro as saying: “I have not spoken to my representatives.

“It’s not a secret that my family are Liverpool fans, and a move to Liverpool would make my family happy.”

The Denmark international has previously played for Roma and Palermo. Kjaer will get married in Rome over the summer.
