Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup signed a four-year deal with Besiktas last week.
That would usually be a signal to indicate a player staying at a club.
Not in this case however, as the reason the Black Eagles secured a new contract agreement was to escape the 30 percent future sale clause Arsenal had.
The Gunners included the clause when they sold the Turkey international to Besiktas five-years ago.
Besiktas played a high-risk move, allowing Ozyakup’s contract to run out before signing him as a free agent, effectively getting rid of the clause.

Newcastle United were reported to be on the verge of signing the midfielder on a £12.1m move last week according to the Fanatik sports newspaper.
The Magpies could now have him for £8.75m.
Turkish-Football understands that the 25-year-old now has an £8.75m release clause [€10m].
Besiktas were not against selling Ozyakup, they were not keen on paying Arsenal 30 percent of the transfer fee.
Everton could however, offer Newcastle stiff competition.
The Toffees have expressed an interest in Ozyakup and he was a former teammate of Cenk Tosun.
The duo won back to back league titles at Besiktas, striking a formidable partnership.
Ozyakup is keen on a return to the Premier League after spending five-season in Turkey.
The midfielder feels he has achieved his goals at the Istanbul based outfit and is ready for a new challenge.
Ozyakup provided eight assists in 37 appearances for Besiktas in all competitions this season.
