Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be unable to call upon his star playmaker Phillipe Coutinho ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Hoffenheim.

The Reds take on the Bundesliga side in a UEFA Champions League qualification clash. Kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GTM).

Coutinho’s future at Liverpool grows increasingly uncertain by the day. The Brazil international has closely linked with a move to Barcelona.

According to the Sun, Barcelona are preparing a mega £137 million offer for the playmaker. The Catalan giants are on the hunt for a replacement for Neymar Jr who joined PSG earlier this month.

Coutinho also missed Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford FC last weekend due to a back injury. The 25-year-old sent a transfer request to Liverpool on Friday.

Meanwhile, Emre Can – who has also been linked with a move away from Liverpool – has been included in the squad.
