£17m Tottenham star future in doubt after being left off squad list for 2018/19 season

Fenerbahce target Vincent Janssen’s Tottenham future is in doubt after the north London based club omitted the Netherland’s international from their squad list.

The Netherlands international is the only first-team player contracted to Tottenham not be given a shirt number.

Janssen’s No.9 jersey has been left vacant signalling that the 24-year-old could be on the move this summer.

Fenerbahce have been closely linked with a move for Janssen all summer, however, the Yellow Canaries recently completed the loan signing on Islam Slimani from Leicester City.

Following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League, Fenerbahce are unlikely to further strengthen their squad.

Janssen joined Tottenham from Az Alkmaar in a deal worth £17 million back in 2016. However, the striker failed to impress in his opening season and scored just one Premier League goal.

The Netherlands international spent last season on loan with Fenerbahce where he scored four Turkish Super Lig goals in 16 appearances.

Tottenham are back in action this weekend when they take on Fulham.
