£17m Tottenham star poised for summer exit after ‘conspicuous’ absence

Vincent Janssen’s Tottenham future has been thrown into doubt after the Netherlands international failed to show up to pre-season training.

The powerful striker joined Tottenham from Az Alkmaar for £17 million back in 2016 but has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League. Janssen was loaned out to Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce last season where he scored just four league goals.

According to Football.London, Janssen was the only player not to return to pre-season training with Mauricio Pochettino this month.

Per the source, Jansen has been absent from the foreground or background of every official Tottenham photo and video this summer.

Football.london goes onto state that Janssen’s conspicuous absence could indicate that he will no longer be a Tottenham player this season.

Fenerbahce have maintained their interest in the Netherlands international and want to sign him back on loan for another season.
