£18.3m record Stoke City signing has agent invited to Istanbul for talks with Turkish league giants
Stoke City record signing Giannelli Imbula could be on his way to Galatasaray according to reports in Turkey.
Fotospor reported that Imbula’s agent Willy Ndangi has been invited to hold talks with the Lions in Istanbul.
Per the source, Ndangi is reported to be a close friend of Galatasaray manager Igor Tudor’s agent Tony Seric.
The report claims that Seric was responsible for inviting Ndangi to Istanbul to hold negotiations with Galatasaray over a loan move.
Galatasaray would currently be unable to sign Imbula on a permanent deal due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) constraints.
The Lions have already been suspended from European competition this season for breaching FFP regulations.
Galatasaray will face another year ban if they do not stay within budget.
Imbula was signed from Porto for a record £18.3m transfer fee in February 2016 and is under contract until 2021.
The midfielder has not started in the Premier League for Stoke in 2017 and has only made 15 appearances in all competitions this season.
