19-year-old wonder-kid Cengiz Under targeted by Tottenham & Man United called up for the Turkish national  team again

Basaksehir wonder-kid Cengiz Under has enjoyed a meteoric rise from second-tier football at Altinordu to challenging for the Turkish league and cup.

Under established himself as a key player for Basaksehir scoring nine goals and seven assists in all competitions this season.

The 19-year-old who was recently linked with an £8m move to Tottenham has been called up to the Turkish national team yet again.

Turkey will take on Macedonia on 4 June in Skopje following by a World Cup qualification clash against Kosovo on 11 June.

The rising star scored on his official debut during the last round of Turkish international games.

Under netted in the 3-1 victory over Moldova in March.

The former Altinordu youth has attracted Premier League interest as confirmed by Basaksehir president Goksel Gumusdag.

“There were scouts from Premier League scouts and La Liga teams at the Besiktas derby,” Gumusdag was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“I will reveal the details at the end of the season as I do not want to distract the team.

“We do not want to sell Under but will discuss this once the season is over.”

beIn Sport pundit Ekrem Eksioglu revealed on the Cafe Spor program that Tottenham and Manchester United are plotting a move for the 19-year-old.

Eksioglu also revealed that Lille are interested in Under but had a £4 million [€5m] offer rejected.

If Under does end up being snapped up by a Premier League side he will need to be a regular call up for national team games over the next two seasons to qualify for a work permit.
