£19m Leicester City Signing Could Make Debut Against Liverpool

Leicester City completed the signing of Caglar Soyuncu on a £19m move [Sky Sports] from Freiburg on transfer deadline day.

The Turkey international struck a five-year deal with the Foxes subject to being granted a work visa.

Leicester City announced the deal on the official club website shortly on Thursday.

Soyuncu’s representative Mustafa Dogru informed Turkish-Football that the work visa is set to be approved.

Leicester fans may however, have to wait at least a fortnight before Soyuncu makes his debut.

The 22-year-old joined the Premier League side having only just recovered from a muscle injury.

The young defender is currently lacking match fitness and will need to adapt to his new side.

Soyuncu will not be named in the squad set to face Manchester United tonight and will miss the Wolves clash next week.

The defender is also expected to be out for the Southampton game on 25 August but is expected to be ready for the following match at the King Power Stadium against Liverpool on 1 September.
